“Military Grade Tor/i2P Communications Make Pegasuscoin Totally Untraceable”

Pegasuscoin plans to be one of the leading Anonymous cryptocurrencies giving users the ability to spend and send anywhere in the world with no footprint over the Tor/ i2P network. The Network provides faster transactions compared with bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

Pegasuscoin will have special applications over its own dApps platform where users can build decentralized applications and use an encrypted communications platform for secure text, video, voice messages, and other data.

About Tor and i2P

Pegasuscoin uses Tor/i2P Integration. Tor or the onion project uses the Onion Router, an IP hiding service, which enables anonymous communication across a layered circuit based network at every step. Tor directs internet traffic through a free volunteer overlay network distributed world-wide with several thousand nodes that help to conceal a user’s location and transaction details against anyone conducting network surveillance. The layers of encrypted address information used to anonymize data packets sent through Tor are reminiscent of the layers of an onion.  Thus, a packet’s path through the Tor network cannot be fully traced.

The Invisible Internet Project (i2P) is an anonymous network layer that allows for censorship resistant, peer-to-peer (P2P) communication. Anonymous connections are achieved by encrypting the user’s traffic (by using end-to-end encryption), i2P uses Garlic routing, which encrypts multiple messages together to make it more difficult for attackers to perform traffic analysis. The tunnels are uni-directional, so incoming and outgoing traffic are completely separate, which improves anonymity. It uses its own API rather than SOCKS which is used by Tor. This helps to make i2P more secure.

Pegasuscoin Features

  • Pegasuscoin dApps

Decentralized applications (dApps) are applications that run on a P2P network of computers rather than a single computer. dApps are a type of software program designed to exist on the Internet in a way that is not controlled by any single entity. dApps have their back-end code running on a decentralized P2P network and the smart contract is a part of the dApp.   Pegasuscoin will allow for third-party dApps development so new applications can be written in any language. Each dApp runs in its own container on a separate node for added security. For more information about the Pegauscoin dApps see the Pegasus whitepaper.

  • Encrypted messages

Secure communication by platform, SMS, instant messages, audio or video messages, and shared documents can be done using encryption and data remains encrypted even when being stored on devices. The platform will provide 100% unlimited and free access to use a military-grade encrypted virtual private network (VPN).

  • Pegasuscoin bank card

The Pegasus project plans to offer its own bank card payment system. It envisions that users of the bank card will be able to make payments widely for services at retail stores (online and offline).  Incentives of the bank card include cash back and rewards for using the card.   Additional details regarding how the card payment system will be implemented and accepted by vendors and merchants is needed.   Pegasus bank card users will get 20% of all fees a year refunded back into their wallet, and the wallet can also store as bitcoin, ethereum and other tokens.  More details regarding which countries and details surrounding the bank card are needed. The Pegasuscoin Card requires that a minimum of 25,000 token be held in a user account in order to qualify for the card, this may greatly reduce the number of potential bank card platform users.

The  Pegasuscoin and ICO

Pegasuscoin is a cryptocurrency created with smart contracts built on ethereum blockchain technology. Pegasuscoin is an ERC20 token. The token symbol for Pegasus is PGS.

The total supply of Pegasus tokens is 21 million PGS but only 15.35 million tokens are available for purchase during the ICO.  Early buyers get bonus tokens when they purchase during stage 1 of the ICO, for more details see the Pegasus website pre-ICO details.  More than half of the funds from the sale will be used to further the project, such as paying funds to get listed on major markets and for marketing.

The Development Roadmap

Next steps after the ICO include dApp development, marketing, listing on exchanges, and beta platform testing (Q1 2018).   In Q2 2018, development includes mobile device apps with encryption, launch of the encrypted communications platform, dApps application platform launch, and wallet development. In Q3 2018 wallet release for windows and mac platforms is scheduled and wallet development on iOS and Android begins, also the bank card will be launched on the new blockchain for secured, untraceable cryptocurrency.  The roadmap is very aggressive and within the first year a massive amount of work will be completed.   It is unclear if the company is affiliated with a bank or will be issuing credit cards.  Who is the issuer? What are the insurance, certification, liability details?  Are the legal documents needed for different countries already in place and in what countries will they operate?  The white paper needs to be updated to provide more details surrounding the bank card.

Summary

Pegasuscoin presents a strong privacy coin and will create a platform for encrypted data, text, video and cryptocurrency transactions.  The idea of a “bank card” is interesting but the anonymous developers and their company are not a bank and do not mention any bank affiliation or partners  in the whitepaper.  There are many details of the card development that are missing in the white paper. Pegasuscoin will join a number of other privacy tokens such as deeponion, monero, pivx, zcash, verge, dash, and spectrecoin (to name a few), and other cryptocurrency platforms such as Enigma, Aion, Zencash, Obsidian and Komodo. All  are vying for users interested in privacy tokens and platforms that can deliver anonymity.  Pegasus will appeal to anyone who seeks the utmost privacy in their online communications and transactions – something that most other cryptcurrencies can not match to the same degree.
